I’ve been part of a group helping with the literary events at the Frome Festival, but I was so excited this morning that I had to leave an interesting talk early. The reason? My BBC interview was live on BBC World Service – a whole episode of Lives Less Ordinary. I was a little wary of how the producers and editors would turn my two-hour interview into a 41-minute episode. It was a good result, so I needn’t have worried.
Here’s what my husband, Peter, said on our family Whatsapp group: It is absolutely outstanding!!! If that doesn’t catch the eye of a movie maker I don’t know what will. Very moving, says so much about Mum as the person that she is! Great piece of journalism by the Beeb….apart from the fact that they got the name of the book wrong…
Here’s the link, should you want to listen. It’s on BBC Sounds and will remain there in perpetuity!
